    The motif shapes are often curvy and complex, and  will not be easy to see as applique designs unless contrasing fabrics are chosen for the project.  The light fabrics need to be very light and the dark fabrics quite dark.  For the motif rows or blocks in your project, avoid using all "busy" fabrics, i.e. prints with lots of colors and/or values.  Busy or conversational prints can be used in the project border.
    Continuous line machine applique pattern.
