    Description

    Hale & Company Philadelphia to Pottsville Pennsylvania Dated September 16, 1844.  This letter bears a red F-33 forwarding handstamp and a red C-3 collect handstamp. Also present is the manuscript notation "12 1/2" indicating the letter was double weight.
    It is one of only five known Hale letters with a Pottsville destination.
    Nice  condition with no contents a horizontal file fold and two small tears at center top.  See my other lots now on eBay.
