Antique Vintage Hickory Shaft MacGregor Concave Airway Mashie Niblick

This item is a 36 1/2" right handed antique vintage hickory shafted iron. Marked for the pro Jack Nelson. Made by MacGregor from their Airway series that has a concave face.
The head is clean and in good vintage condition. Yes it has the expected play nicks and dings.
Please look at the many zoom pictures to get a better idea of condition. The shaft is an old hickory. It has a very minor bend, I see no cracks and it is tight at the hosel. All hickory shafted clubs should be re-set prior to play. The grip is an old long leather wrap that is in fair vintage condition. 58 and a C 2
swingweight for play.
If you are considering playing with this club, while I see no issues with this hickory shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These hickory shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee hickory shafts against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old hickory shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old hickory shafted wood with a hard range ball.

That is the way shipping works as it costs me more to ship a greater distance with all the carriers.
