    Description

    This item is a 38 1/4" right handed iron. It is an early smooth face Cann&Taylor J H Taylor Autograph Mashie Iron. 27
    * loft and a C 5 swingweight. Also faintly marked Roberts Hughes & Co (the retailer). The head is in good condition. Yes it does have the expected play nicks and dings. Lokks like it was plated a number of years ago and has a little rust on it.
    Please look at the many zoom pictures to get a better idea of condition. The shaft the original Roberts Hughes & Co marked hickory. It has a very minor bend, I see no cracks and it has some play at the hosel (all hickory shafted clubs should be re-set prior to play).  The grip is a nice sueded russet leather wrap. Great display club.
    If you are considering playing with this club, while I see no issues with this hickory shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These hickory shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee hickory shafts against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old hickory shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old hickory shafted wood with a hard range ball.
    Shipping in the US is calculated for this item and based on a 2 pound box. The closer you are to me in NC (27712 zip) the less shipping will be. That is the way shipping works as it costs me more to ship a greater distance with all the carriers. I do ship pretty much worldwide but shipping is a lot more to foreign locations and is also calculated.
