    Thanks for looking. Hundreds of thousands sockeye (red) salmon will soon be heading to their home waters to spawn. This hook has been the standard fly tying hook for fishing sockeye salmon on the famed Kenai River in Alaska. Over the years I have found a sparsely made fly with a bit of flash is the ticket to a successful trip. For those of you that have fished the Russian/Kenai, you know how many flies that you can go through in a day.  These hooks are specifically designed for the Russian River and fall within the legal parameters of Alaska Fish & Games "fly fishing only" waters of the Kenai River.
