The Dodgers are back in LA after winning the World Series!
NEW YORK (KTTV) – The wait is over, Dodger fans! For the first time in 36 years, the Los Angeles Dodgers will get a World Series parade.
The historic win marks the Dodgers’ eighth World Series championship and their first title since 2020. When the Dodgers beat the Tampa Bay Rays in six games of the 2020 Fall Classic, an in-person parade ended up not happening that fall due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
From the champagne showers in the visiting locker room in New York to flowing Modelo in Echo Park, celebrations are well underway after the Dodgers won the World Series.
The Dodgers announced the parade will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024. The parade will go through downtown Los Angeles before the players speak at Dodger Stadium.
As for the parade route, the team will start from the Los Angeles City Hall and the players, their families, and coaches will make their way down towards West 1st Street, then will turn towards Grand Avenue, then make their way to West 5th Street and then wrap up the route near Hope Street and Flower Street.
The Dodgers released the planned route for the team’s Nov. 1 World Series parade.
The Dodgers beat the New York Yankees 7-6 on Wednesday night’s Game 5, winning the best-of-7 series 4-1 with Freddie Freeman named World Series MVP.
