A supporter of Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump trolled American mega pop star Taylor Swift by flying a large banner tied to an airplane over Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens concert venue, asking if she was ready for the ex-president to retake the White House.
The message that was flown high in the sky, trolling the Grammy-winning artist, read, “TRUMP 2024 – READY FOR IT, CAT LADY? MAGA!.” It was scrawled in big block letters and pulled by a small plane.
The flyover, referencing the singer’s 2017 song “…Ready For It?”, took place before Swift performed on the second night at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens during her second North American leg of the Eras Tour.
“Childless Cat Lady” is a reference to comments made by JD Vance, Trump’s running mate, in 2021 about how women without children don’t really have a stake in the country’s future.
This comes after the 34-year-old “You Belong with Me” singer made headlines by endorsing Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris just after the first presidential debate with Donald Trump on September 10 on ABC News.
“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Swift said in a post on Instagram.
“I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader, and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”
She signed off her post, which included a picture of the singer with a cat, with “Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady,” in an apparent dig at remarks previously made by Donald Trump’s running mate JD Vance about women without children.
During Swift’s three performances in Miami, local Democrats teamed up with the “Swifties for Kamala” group to encourage more people to vote for Harris, according to a weekend report from Politico.
